Evaluation and Screening of Rapeseed Varieties (Brassica napus L.) Suitable for Mechanized Harvesting with High Yield and Quality

Improving seed yield and quality optimizing plant architecture to adapt mechanized harvesting are essential strategies for rapeseed industry development in the Yangtze River basin. The present study selected 24 elite varieties from middle region of basin as materials investigate growth period, characteristics, lodging resistance, yield, across 2 growing seasons. results showed that biomass, silique number per plant, a significant positive correlation with each other. A high rate was prerequisite early maturity achieve yield. path analysis illustrated can directly affect (direct efficiency = 0.17) or indirectly through (indirect efficiency: −0.37 × 0.30 −0.11). Therefore, modifying needs balance tradeoff between lodging. comprehensive performance genotypes evaluated by combining D-CRITIC (Distance-based inter-criteria correlation) membership function methods. From two cropping seasons, V24, V23, V22, V21, V12, V17, V19, V20 had substantial potential good quality. These provide theoretical basis farmers’ decisions breeding suitable
